Position Title: Assistant to the Director
Reports to: Executive Director
Salary: $10-$15 per hour based on skills and experience—approx. 15-22 hrs. per week as needed, flexible scheduling. Candidates must be able to work occasional early mornings, evenings and/or partial weekend when events occur.
Duties: Provide administrative support to the Executive Director in carrying out the work of the organization. Includes general office management; process event registrations and other event prep activities; bookkeeping including invoicing and processing of accounts receivable; data base management for multiple groups such as volunteers, alumni, sponsors, and event participants; correspondence; customer service. Other occasional and regular duties as needed to fulfill the mission of the organization.
Skills: Candidates should ideally have a minimum of 3-5 years experience in a fast paced office environment involved in duties as described above. Candidates must be highly organized, possess outstanding written and verbal communication skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; ability to efficiently multi task; ability to maintain composure during periods of high activity; and ability to think creatively in managing and streamlining work processes. Individuals should have an orientation toward community building, enjoy working with diverse populations and be committed to process and quality improvement in all aspects of their work.
