Author and Executive Coach, Jacquline Binkert, Ph. D believes that what you pay attention to grows. This belief underlies the core of Appreciative Coaching, a strengths-based approach to change with its roots in Appreciative Inquiry. Built into the Appreciative Coaching perspective are five key principles that Jackie will share: we are mysteries to be appreciated (Constructionist Principle), we need to grow the positive for inner balance (Positive Principle), all change happens in the present (Simultaneity Principle), we are not resistant to change but to being changed (Poetic Principle), and the future begins where we are (Anticipatory Principle).
You will experience these principles as well as some of the tools and techniques Jackie uses with her leadership clients to help them embrace their own capacity to flourish and create the future they most desire. These client stories and examples will clarify how the appreciative approach helps leaders shift their attention to be at their best and to inspire peak performance not only in themselves but in those they lead.
