The sun was shining in many ways on Saturday, March 27, 2010. We got some exercise, raised funds, and had great company all for a good cause. LO Board member Paul Landry’s daughter has two extremely rare diseases. She is one of only a handful of people in the world that have either one of these conditions. Because of this, Passion for Life chose the Landry’s as their “Inspirational Family of the Year.” Passion for Life hosts a fundraiser 5K walk/run each year and this year LO had a team. Walking or running for “Team LO” were: Jennifer Korman, LOXIX, Dawn Pischel, LOXIII, Scott Hiipakka, LOXVIII, Kristie Veenstra, LOXIII, Paul Landry, LOVIII, Tom Landry, LOI, Jim Giszczak, LO XI and his family and Chris Scharrer, LOIX and her husband and two year old grandson.
