The Leadership Oakland Board held their annual retreat recently at Crossroads for Youth. In addition to team building and personal and board growth activities, they reviewed the strategic direction as put forth by Executive Director, Chris Scharrer for the 08-09 year. Chris has taken a Balanced Scorecard approach to business planning and review over the years she has served as director. The areas of the Scorecard include: Finance, Relationships, Programs and Services, and Infrastructure.
So what is in store over the next year for LO?
Highlights include: focusing on continued financial health; continuing to build our brand and recruiting into new areas; expanded programs and services-including the continuation of JR LO for another year; and adding or upgrading technology and functionality to better serve our members.
