LOXXXIII Day of Service

Each year, Leadership Oakland, a group of corporate, civic and non-profit leaders, works to improve the community – one act of service at a time. This year, our 33rd class is working with Center for Success, a local non-profit that is dedicated to improving the physical and mental health of youth, providing them with opportunities to gain experiences and knowledge for a stronger future self.

The LOXXXIII Project

Leadership Oakland XXXIII will partner with Center for Success to complete their Day of Service Project. The scope of the project will grow with the funding levels, but at a high level, they aim to reimagine the community space in the 245 E Rundell St, Pontiac, MI 48342 location. The vision is to create a safe space where students can engage in advanced tutoring sessions after they have enjoyed age appropriate mind-stimulating games, gotten lost in a storybook, or participated in activities that help keep their bodies in motion.

In addition, they want to provide those in need access to some bare necessities in a dry pantry. The class believes that by improving this space, they can inspire and motivate the students who use it and encourage them to strive for excellence. LOXXXIII is reaching out to community members and businesses like you, who share their passion for improving the lives of young people and strengthening our community.
